QuestionCan upscaling be improved with future firmware updates? All I stream is 720p content and apparently the upscaling is poor on anything except 1080p.

- Answer id suggest to check your connections and sources. make sure youre using high quality hdmi. preferably hdmi 2.0 and make sure youre source is hd. such as bluray player, blu ray movie, hdmi 2.0 cables.

QuestionCurrent owners .... Opinion of up scaling ?To those who have already purchased and are using this TV. What is your opinion on the up scaling for current non 4K broadcasts and disc's, ie regular HDTV 1080, etc? Noticeably better than regular HDTV? Also, anyone know of any major differences between this and last years XBR65X850C? Thanks for your input.

- Answer I believe that the up scaling this tv is great! This reason is probably the number 1 reason that I bought a Sony. I was told that their up scaling is the best of all the brands. As far as the comparison to the X850c, the biggest difference i noticed is the terrible light bleed on the X850C. If you watch the demo in the store(i believe is is actually a soundbar demo), and wait for the clip of the NBA video game and you will notice the horrible light bleed in the corners at the end of the demo. That reason completely turned me off to the X850C.

- Answer Yes it does when you are using the built speakers. When using external speakers it doesn't function.
