I had a 14 year old Sony 55” Bravia TV that I replaced. That set is still fantastic. I didn’t actually replace it. We rearranged our home to create a den. I moved the 14 year old set to there. I would not have replaced it otherwise. That being said, the new OLED 65” Sony top of the line set is amazing. The picture is crystal clear. Blacks are very black, but it does show a difference between small variations in darks in clothing as an example. The sound quality is much better. Off axis viewing is better, although that was very good on my older set. In closing, I bought it because I needed another quality TV. I am very happy with this set.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say yes. HD is a standard thing nowadays and means 1080 P. If you don’t know what “p” means it means pixels. That is how a TV’s resolution is rated. This is a 4K tv which is 4000 pixels, which is sometimes called UHD (ultra high definition). The more pixels the tv has, the more detail it can show for objects. In short answer yes this is a much better tv than a HD (1080 P) TV I couldn’t be more happier with this TV. The sound is amazing and there are so many sound options to customize the audio. It is a great TV
