Not at all Sound is very good and you have a lot of adjustments to get it the way you want it

Much better than other flat screens i have seen esp the ones where the speakers are on the side or the back. However the quality is still better suited for 'regular' broadcasts like programming and news. For me when i am watching a movie or sports I want the sound to be as good as the picture, so I utilize a 5.1 surround system. A soundbar used as the center and front L/R speakers would be just as good, and better than the TVs speakers IMHO. Just so you know in case you haven't purchased the A9G yet, the picture is off the charts good. Contrast is fantastic and the blacks are 'inky'. Watch a night seen in any 4K movie and you will immediately see a difference.
