Hi StPeteBob, Thanks for your inquiry. Are you referring to an antenna? If so, the latest antennas have a coax cable and that will go into the coax input on the back of the tv. After installing, please use the auto feature for channel scanning for digital and analog channels. I'm not really familiar with the TV Ears device, but - looking at their setup diagram online - it looks like you can use either a digital (optical) cable OR a regular analog 3.5mm cable. The optical cable output is on the back of the TV in the patch panel facing down towards the floor - it's pretty clearly marked. The 3.5mm "headphone" jack is on the R side of the TV (looking at it from the back) - it's not very clearly labelled, but you'll find it marked with a little picture of headphones next to it; the jack itself is green.
