You’ll always see something. If you’re on Google TV, you’ll either see your content, a dimmed home screen, a screensaver, or the TV will be off. If you’re on an input and the input’s device is off, you’ll see a gray shifting screensaver that says your input device is off. There’s a power light in the bottom center of the TV that flashes when adjusting volume or turning the set on. There are power settings you can adjust, like idle time, etc.

When the TV is completely off, you should not be able to see the Home Menu screen if your press the HOME button on the remote. The LED indicator also turns “on” or “blinks” during operation when the TV is on. Please note that the Operational response LED (white LED) can be disabled through the TV settings. Regards, -Ralph
