“Pg 6 of the Reference Manual says in order to avoid image retention when watching 4:3: Fill the screen by changing [Wide mode] to eliminate the black bars. Select [Wide mode] other than [Normal]. So don't buy OLED if you want to watch undistorted 4:3?”

I got the 65" A80J last month for $1,799 at BB. Used the savings to get Geek Squad 5yr protection which DOES cover burn in if it were to happen. Geek squad will repair or replace the panel and if not possible, replace the TV! If you don't get any burn in during that period, you likely never will due to your particular viewing style/habits. The A80J also has a image retention removal tool built in which you can run periodically, but can take a few hours, I believe.
