even though the legs are not adjustable per Sony, there is a way to make the legs only 44 inches apart. Unbolt the 5 screws holding the leg from the slide in mounting plate and switch legs left to right and visa versa. The legs still face the correct way and the plates still slide in and lock into the correct slot. It gains the width of the plates. It looks more like the pictures on the box too.

We never opened or looked at the package containing the legs nor did we look at the bottom of the television in regards to the legs. Our plan all along was to mount it to the wall. I hope someone can answer your question.

We do offer models which feature a 3-way stand/2-way stand position: 3-way stand models: Models with the 3-way stand have options for a wide mount, narrow mount, or tall mount. The tall mount provides room for a soundbar. Z9J: 75”, 85” A90J: 83” A80J: 55”, 65”, 77” X95J: 75”, 85” 2-way stand models: Models with the 2-way stand have the options for a wide mount or tall mount. The tall mount provides room for a soundbar. A90J: 55” A90J: 65” X95J: 65” Mounting the TV on the wall is also a safe option if you have issue with your space. Regards, David
