Do keep in mind that along with not achieving nearly the brightness of a LCD, OLED panels have a considerably shorter lifespan than LCD. That may make a difference if you plan to keep your set for more than a few years.

Please try again later.The LG oleds are definitely better than the sony 4k led tvs, hence the drastic price difference. you get perfect blacks which in turn give greater contrast which to the eye produces more detailed color. Leds are brighter but do not produce a picture near as beautiful as an oled. the Samsung qleds do a great job with brightness and color but side by side with a LG or Sony Oled the choice is clear(Oled). The oleds operate at a cooler temp so if you have a small room it doesnt heat it up like lcd or led. More energy efficient. More detail. More colors. Lg oled have been rated the best tv for the last 2-3 years. I have 2 a LG 55c6 and LG 65c7 replaced my sony led tv and my lg led phenomenal tvs but oleds are in a different league.
