The ARC is an audio return channel which is intended to let you use one connection between your TV and whatever you are using for sound (sound bar, receiver etc). Typically you would connect your other devices to the HDMI and HDMI 2 and use the HDMI 3 for sound options.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi THEPROFESER, The ARC (Audio Return Channel) is for connecting audio systems that support HDMI ARC connection while only using an HDMI cable. It allows you to output sound from the TV to the audio system. It also allows you to view and listen to movies and other content sent from the audio system to the TV. Your setup will not hurt your TV. You may refer to this link for more information: https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/33135 ~Ralph
