It is better. Has some updates vs the 930D. Look at Sony's website to compare specifics.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.check out: www.rtings.com (yes the "a" is missing from the word "ratings") Has reviews, pictures, and optimal settings for nearly every TV out there(aside from the garbage off-brands). Best website by far for TV reviews anywhere on the web.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This set is better than the 930d because it has the upgraded processor and Full array local dimming. However that is the 930d of 2016. The 2017 equivalent has also been upgraded and has a better processor than this one and it has the slim back light drive+
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should compare very favorably. It has the upgraded Processor X1 (not the X1 Extreme though) and an X-tended Dynamic Range Pro 5X, where the 930D has the earlier Processor X1 and X-tended Dynamic Range Pro 3X. The 900E also has FALD but Sony claims their proprietary Slim Backlight Drive on the higher end models is better for 55" and 65" sets until you spend over 5 large for a Z9. Hearing good things about the 900's but haven't found any formal reviews yet. I have a 930D and the picture is amazing, especially on 4K HDR content. It does suffer from a somewhat narrow viewing angle but I tend to be centered in front of the TV so it's never been an issue. I was very fortunate to find the 930D just a few weeks ago as an open box at the local BB and with a couple of coupons it was $700 less than a 900E in the same size. That made the decision easy.
