“I met with a Sony representative this past weekend at Best Buy in Daytona. He said if I buy a Sony today (black Friday deal), I should bring my receipt to the store anytime during the Black Friday sale and Best Buy would credit me the difference. True?”

I think Sony is wrong. Check BB's price match policy. I was going to do the same thing, BB said no. It may depend on the Store too.

If you buy a TV today, knowing it will be on sale during Black Friday, they might not give it to you because those deals are for the people willing to go in during that weekend to spend money. Best Buy has sales goals, just like any other company, and if everyone bought stuff this week before the sale happens, and then goes in to get price adjustments, it hurts their goals for the sale weekend.
