“Hit "Display", and it says 1080HD which is what it looks like...why not 4K? Nothing appears 4K except Xbox X, HDMI chord directly to TV from Dish box, but no 4K picture. Suggestions? Thanks.”

I only see 4k when the source is true 4K. There isn't a lot of 4K programming yet. Make sure also that your provider is enabling 4K for you. I have direct and it needed an additional 4K box installed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dish has near zero 4K content much less 4K HDR content. Similar for DirectTV This TV IS upscaling but it's showing what is input. Try and find some Netflix or AMazon 4K HDR content. Or from TV APPS the Youtube has also a lot of 4K Hdr content. The key thing is the TV is displaying what it's getting .... and upconverting for the screen. But here's no FM here. If you don't give it 4K content then it has to upscale and the quality of that varies (though this TV does well with it). The other point is IF you have a 4K HDR Blu-Ray (such as the Sony 800X) or a 4K HDR A/V then you MUST use 2.0.a/b "Premium HDMI Certified" cables to guarantee they'll carry all the signal. Some 1.4x will work OK but most won't. Lastly most :DSL or Cable "ramps up" your speed as you demand it. You can see on Speed Test that it doesn't jump up to max but takes a bit. Same with VIdeo. So with Steamign 4K HDR say Netflix I can see it taking up to a minute to ramp up to 4K HDR. THat's the Cable system not the TV or Netflix. And to it's credit it's trying until what it gets (2160/4K) So No Magic. Feed it 4K / 4K HDR and it straight up displays it. Otherwise figure out how to feed it 4K HDR so it doesn't have to upscale.
