Just don’t connect to hdmi 3 as this is the arc audio return Chanel. It also sends control signals. Also a receiver can sense an input going on and may turn on, might be a setting in receiver to turn this feature off. It’s supposed to turn on by default. If it’s a Sony receiver then the tv remote is sending the on signal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not sure if your receiver is Sony, but I've Sony receiver and there is an option in the receiver setup where you can turn it off. It's a simple on/off setup option. If you could not find this option on your receiver I'm sure its also available on the Sony TV setup option (except that I've not used it). Hope this helps.
