Is AppleTv compatiable w/ the A1E? null

Yes, fully compatible. Putting ATV to sleep turns the TV off, waking it on power the TV back on and thanks to HDMI2.2 both ATV and TV's remote fully work. (e.g. you can change the volume on the TV with Apple TV's remote, or browse through your apps and navigate your Apple TV via the TV remote)
