• Does not detach. The mounting points on the kickstand piece.

• The integrated easel stand stays on...folds up vertically. Wall mounting works well.

• the stand stays in place, but you do remove the balance weight from it prior to mounting

• I'm pretty certain that the kickstand does not detach. It houses all of the inputs and part of the sound system. Plus, the mounting bracket attaches to that part.
