• Sticks out a little further due to the speakers set up on the back. Depending on the mount, I would say it will stick out about three inches

• The back panel sticks out a bit, it's about 3 inches when the stand is folded in. Sonys spec labels it as 3.39". You might want to wait for the upcoming version, the a9g, which should be flatter and thinner, but is essentially the same tv. Or go with the current a8f.
