Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We purchased a new Sony KD65X80J. I set it up with the setting just out of the box. The white are too bright. I've researched what setting to set your tv on. One said to set the Sony to Cenema picture mode and no other changes would have to be made. I did that and it gave me the prettiest picture of all, but the WHITES are so bright that it will just blind you -- just like you eyes are coming out of your head. we first purchased the BRX65X950H and the brightness was even worse on it. so we went back to best buy and they suggested we get the KD65X80J. Well this is just the same. Have to use the light sensor to to able to watch anything, and that takes away the quality of you picture. Can you please tell me if there is something I missed in setting tv up that is making the bright whites so painful to the eyes . I want a good clear picture and we can enjoy' We had a XBR-55X850D for 6 years , but we wanted a 65" so this is were we are. So unhappy. We were used to the wonderful picture on the SBR-55X850D and enjoyed it so much. Once the tv was set up, we never had to change any of the settings from show to show. Just a pleasure to watch tv. Now you have to make adjustments for everything you was. You get it set for one show and that show is over and you change channels, the picture is all wrong got that program. We don't use our tv for games, streaming and all the apps......we just watch the content on our satellite receiver. Can you help me?
