We have not had it calibrated and we love it! We have quite a bit of natural light in the living room and bright lights at night. We have also turned the lights out for movie night and still love the picture. I must also mention this was a huge step up from a very old Sony we had. We also have a Panasonic plasma that we love. I’ve noticed this Sony has deep blacks as well like a plasma. I guess you’d have to see it for yourself. I’m picky about quality and as an artist I have an eye for color. This has satisfied us. Hope that helps in some way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had mine for 2 weeks now. As for live tv the picture is great. When viewing HDR or Dolby Vision content the picture settings must be adjusted. Either too dark or washed out. Google Dolby Vision issues for the X900F.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Very happy with the picture quality right out of the box. I do however plan to optimize the picture and settings for better HD viewing of TV and movies.
