Only had it a day but blown away
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well all I can say is I have seen thousands of tv’s as I have been a cable tech for 14 years and I will tell you this is a great tv. Some will say that the Android system that Sony and others use is sluggish and jittery but my top of the line iPhone also is jittery at times. So the bottom line is the new android system is not that bad. As far as the rest of the tv I’m impressed with the sound quality of this set. The 900f seems to have very small speakers but even at half volume it is very loud and clear I was watching planet earth 2 in 4K and the sound sounded like it was coming out of my home theater system. Ok now for the picture, the picture is stunning, it is what you would want in a regular tv for all types of viewing. It is very bright and can clearly be seen even when the sun is coming in through the windows. Try doing that with a OLED. I had the money to buy pretty much any tv in the 65 inch range and I choose this one for the same reasons I’m explaining. The HDR picture is stunning the SD picture is great football doesn’t get that soap opera effect. You just need to set it up tweek the settings and have the right source material. Don’t expect flawless picture from a subpar source. This tv will not look as good right next to the fancy OLED at Best Buy but if you get it home and set it up right it will definitely keep up with the OLED’s and cost way less and last longer Oh Ya and it won’t have the BURN IN PROBLEMS. Over all awesome tv for a great price almost as good as the best with less problems and way less in price. Best Led on the market. Enjoy

Great picture and performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had always been a Samsung perosn and I did purchase a Samsung open box. I did talk with the TV guy and he had let me know that Sony has about 1300 brightness and the samsung maybe had 900. I do see a huge difference and glad he recommended that. The only thing I hate is the speakers are junk in TV's now a days and I did end up buying a sound bar. The volume kept oging out on it and making popping noises, not too many sound bars with the new tvs that work good. I did end up spending $600 on a soundbar that the Sony can detect. It works awesome and lots of bass when needed. Great for the TV stand I have since I don't like to have a TV mounted that just looks pretty lame or having to stare up makes no sense. Great buy even though little pricey but its worth the investment!

Great quality and contrast and brightness
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only flaw is it is picky on putting on Soundbars. I guess didnt really know the Ultra HD 4K ones are like that, but I did get the Sony Soundbar and that works awesome. I dont really watch Bluray or 4K stuff, but it is an awesome quality. I was always a Samsung person and stuck to that, and I did buy that and returend it and a sales person talked me into this one instead. There are more bright pixels and bulbs about 40 more and much difference and better quality than the Samsung. I wasnt going to spend 3500-5000 on a TV, thats just crazy, but this on sale was an awesome price and well worth it. Don't just go by price, quality and performance is key and matches up to the $3000 TV

Excellent quality to value ratio
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV after having been a Vizio user for 6 years. I wanted stunning 4K quality at a price that didn’t make the wife want to strangle me. This TV checked the boxes. Not much to be said other than be aware that the android smart TV function sucks, and blooming on super black scenes is quite terrible, but easy to overlook.

The best midrange TV on the market at the moment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently picked up a 65" X900F for my family room and can honestly say its the best midrange LED that you can buy right now. I was looking to purchase a 65" or 75" Z9D over this model because the additional local dimming zones but ended up catching a great deal on the 900F. I have 2 OLEDs and this is certainly not at that level but it does have inky blacks and goes very bright to help when the sun is out. I've watched Venom (HDR) and few other darker movies in HDR to test it and I can say that I am thoroughly happy with it. I am not a fan of Samsung's QLEDs so Sony (900F, Z9D/F) was the only alternative for me. I did not want an OLED in the family room due to the burn-in risk. My only complaint lies with blooming with some screens but movies/black bars appear dark without light bleed. Picture was taken directly after setup before any wires were hidden etc.

Great picture
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took me a little while but I’ve really came around on this TV. I upgraded from a 55” insignia HD and this was my first 4K set. I liked it better than other LED’s I looked at in the store. Not quite OLED but pretty nice for the money. Online reviews said that this TV up scaled better than other TV’s in the price range. Color is great on this set. I did have to tweak the settings for several days until I got what I wanted. I even considered returning it but glad I didn’t now. With 4K signal or a good quality HD source this TV looks really good.

Amazing TV, Sony is the way to go
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We shopped around and thought about this purchase for a while before we finally decided on upgrading our old Insignia 55in 1080p. The OLEDs are undoubtedly the best TV money can buy, but for the money, you just can't beat this TV. Excellent picture quality, very easy setup, and excellent smart TV functionality. Can't wait to upgrade our "theater" TV next.

Great TV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to be a Samsung TV guy. Went to Best Buy to purchase a new QLED 8 and saw the new Sony TVs. Did a side by side comparison and was blown away by the rich picture Sony has! Not to mention being $500 less than the Q8. Sony is definitely back!! High recommend this TV for anyone in the market for a 65” upgrade!

Q: QuestionI've been wanting to get a really nice TV recently and was thinking about getting the Sony Bravia A8f but the Oled TVs aren't as bright It looks like the X900f has the mostly the same features, and isn't nearly as expensive
Asked by Kered.
- A:Answer Let me start by saying I purchased the 65” 900F. I had been wanting/saving spare cash for several years to one day buy a Really nice 4K TV for my Mancave and my wife be okay with me not spending from our usual funds. I say that only to say I’ve been watching them closely as 4K has grown. I even waited an extra month to get the 900F over the 900E, just to have the new tech inside. Yes the A8F and the 900F are basically the same TV. One is darker (OLED) and one is brighter (900F). One has down firing speakers while one has Acoustic Surface. Amount of inputs and all that, same. I see the A8F as a dedicated movie room with no windows and the 900F as a multi room functional TV. I have my 900F in my basement as the Media hub of the house. I use it for high speed gaming, movies, and tv shows and it all looks Amazing on it. I’ve been told gaming on an OLED can be iffy. If you go OLED you run the risk of burn effect on your screen if you leave it paused for to long. Knowing all the research I did between brands and features I knew LED was for me. A huge plus for me was Price. I used extra money I would have spent on an OLED to get a bigger LED. My opinion use the money you’d spend on a smaller A8F to get a bigger 900F. Hope this helped

Q: QuestionCan anyone tell me the distance between the legs of the stand for the 65" version of the X900F? I have a TV table/stand that is 43" wide and am concerned this model might not fit on my stand. Thank you.
Asked by Jack.
- A:Answer 46 inches at the widest point.

Q: QuestionLooking for a tv to watch sports, especially soccer. Just wondering how this tv lines up with other TVs as far as motion blur and picture (especially for soccer matches)?
Asked by Rudy.
- A:Answer Rudy, I bought this TV specifically to watch the World Cup on it. I have not seen any distortion in terms of ball movement and tracking. The grass looks great on it and there is no pixalation beyond any restriction by your cable/satellite box (non-HD channels, etc).

Q: QuestionAre owner happy with the picture right out of the box or does it need professional geek squad calibration? Thank you
Asked by Gary.
- A:Answer We have not had it calibrated and we love it! We have quite a bit of natural light in the living room and bright lights at night. We have also turned the lights out for movie night and still love the picture. I must also mention this was a huge step up from a very old Sony we had. We also have a Panasonic plasma that we love. I’ve noticed this Sony has deep blacks as well like a plasma. I guess you’d have to see it for yourself. I’m picky about quality and as an artist I have an eye for color. This has satisfied us. Hope that helps in some way.

Q: QuestionI have a 72" tv stand, however it's in 3 sections and the middle section is 37 1/2" wide with a 1" drop to the outer sections. How far apart are the legs where they attach to the tv and can the legs be swapped around so they point in?
Asked by Sharon.
- A:Answer I'm answering my own question. Best Buy sales person helped us by finding the legs for this TV in the back and they fit on either side. We bought the TV and set it up with the legs pointing in and it fits our stand and it is very sturdy. This is the TV we wanted but almost dismissed it because we didn't think it would fit our TV stand, thanks Best Buy for helping us. Loving the TV so far (beautiful picture!).

Q: QuestionI recently purchased this TV and see that while attached to the stand it appears to be sitting at a slight upward angle. Is that normal? It seems odd that the TV would be constructed that way when wall mounted it would sit evenly.
Asked by HB.
- A:Answer Mine sits on its legs with a very slight backwards tilt.

Q: QuestionI was going to by the Samsung 65" QN65Q6F but have read that the X900F has a better picture and more like Samsung's 7 in that model. True? That is, why should I pay $300 more for the Sony TV?
Asked by Spoon32.
- A:Answer I've owned many TV brands over the years. My Sony's and LG's were problem free. I had service issues with a Samsung after 13 months (out of warranty) of purchasing one of them. I just purchased a Sony XBR65X90F and was glad to pay a few dollars more than if I purchased a Samsung. In most cases, you get what you pay for.

Q: QuestionFor those that have purchased this tv, is it worth it if I have no 4k compatible movie player or gaming system? Does regular HD tv channels or blu ray look better than a normal LED tv? I'm still on the fence about upgrading. Thanks
Asked by Broadsy.
- A:Answer I understand your hesitation to move to a 4K tv but I think you would be impressed with the improvements in picture quality with these new tv’s. Now it depends on what quality of tv you are currently watching to know what you will see in increased picture quality on HD viewing but if you use apps like Netflix they offer many options in 4K and HDR that have amazing picture quality. I also was hesitant to upgrade my current blu ray player but for the price that you pay to upgrade to a 4K player that connects to your WiFi and streams 4K content and plays amazing movies it’s a no brainer
