What are “nit” specs this model? null

I don't have the specific numbers, but I can tell you that the picture is clear and bright even when there is quite a fair amount of daylight coming into the room. I would say you can probably plan on skipping a calibration, since the factory settings are so good straight out of the box. Rtings.com, I believe is one review source that can give you the specific nit numbers.
