“I am confused. An expert reviewer said that only HDMI inputs 2 & 3 can be used to support ultra HD (4K?) at 60 frames per second. Does this mean that you should input a 4K source into either HDMI 2 or 3? Wouldn't you think that HDMI 1 had priority ?”

My installer said exactly the same thing about HDMI 1 for many TVs. It’s not unique to Sony. HDMI 1 seemed to work fine when I hooked it up. He redid it because the HDMI handshake is more reliable on HDMI 2-3. Make sure you use high quality 4K cables. That matters, according to my installer.
