“Why is there is a huge lag in changing channels or response to the remote? . We have Direct TV and we programmed the Sony remote accordingly. The Sony remote has a delay when changing source, channels, pausing movies, etc. The Direct TV remote does too.”

Is your HDMI signal format set to Enhanced? If this function is not really needed, we can set this back to Standard Format. This should speed up source switching. 1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button. 2. Select Settings or the settings (gear) icon. 3. Select External inputs in the TV category. 4. Select HDMI signal format We also recommend doing a soft reset. Hold down the power button for 6-8 seconds until the restart screen option comes up, select restart and let the tv shutdown and restart itself and see if the problem is still there.
