“The HTS receiver I have is JVC RX-778VBK which does not have digital nor HDMI connections for TV sound input. This Sony TV does not have analog output. I tried several digital to analog converter to hook TV sound to HTS but all failed.”

The two most common connections used to hear TV sound from the A/V receiver or home theater system speakers are: · Option 1: HDMI® connection using the ARC feature · Option 2: Connection using an HDMI cable, Coaxial Digital, Optical Digital, or Audio cable If HDMI and digital optical connection are not available, you can use the headphone audio out port of the TV instead.
