Hope you are not screwed but... Mine did that same deal then the sound started shutting of every few minutes then dead. I got mine from bestbuy and it was just six months old when it died. it was in repair for over a month and was told they could not get the mainboard from sony finally they approved a exchange ticket and I got my money back Good luck with yours Doug

Check that the AC power cord (mains lead) is connected securely. Disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) from the wall outlet (mains), and then reconnect after several minutes. -Oscar.
