“I'm confused about the specs on this - Best Buy says it has a capacitive touchscreen but others say it's resistive. I don't really care about multitouch, but I want a screen that's highly responsive and made of resilient glass (not plastic).”

It's a resistive screen. Best Buy's description is wrong. You have to go up to the ax5000 model to get the capacitive screen
