Even upscaled is not true native 4K. The content (broadcast) must be true 4K in order to utilize.

Please try again later.I have a smaller sized 4k tv, and thought the same thing when i purchased it, that I would automatically receive all programs in 4k, if they were filmed in 4k...not the case...in most cases, you have to have a special, extra cable box to decode/encode the signal from your provider to your tv (extra cost), and for streaming 4k movies, you may need to increase your wifi signal so that it can carry the 4k signal, which, basically, carries more information than a normal streaming signal. So, possibly more extra cost for in increase in your wifi bill. Just something to think about.
