Hello, we appreciate you interest in our products. Yes, the built-in speakers of this unit is great. With Advanced speaker technology with our Cognitive Processor XR turns any sound source into an immersive sound experience. To level up the experience, we recommend soundbars like HT-G700 which you can connect to a compatible TV or device wirelessly via Bluetooth® technology, or use the HDMI eARC/ARC or optical digital input for full-bandwidth sound. Or the HTA9, that you place its control box near the TV and link up via HDMI. The four speakers connect wirelessly to the control box so there’s no cables across your living space. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We haven't received our new Sony TV yet, however, we did ask the sales person, who was very knowledgeable and focused on our needs, about the sound. It has been my experience from both work and home that flat screen TV's - all brands - suffer from good sound, especially when wall mounted. The agent agreed, and he recommneded a sound bar to us, which at the time was on sale and had an additional discount when purchased with the TV (and I believe still does) - Sony Model:HTG700SKU:6403902. It can be connected wirelessly or with HDMI or optical digital. Sorry I can't answer from my experience with the TV and sound bar yet, but I hope passing on the information from our sales rep helps.
