If it’s an 8K player you’ll want to connect to to the 8K HDMI slot and make sure you get an 8K HDMI 2.1 certified cable. However if it’s 4K then a regular 4K in the 4K slot will work good.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would recommend the 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable. Depending on the resolution of your Blue Ray player, you could go to a 4K cable. I upgraded to the 8K cable, and the picture quality for our streaming service is remarkably better. I can only assume that with a brand new high resolution Blue Ray player that you would have the same experience.
