I don't know about HBO Maxx, but any of the other streaming apps that you mentioned work just fine without issue. I did have Disney+ lock up once after making settings changes and had to delete it and re-add it. Very simple to do this. But once re-added the changes I made were still there and haven't had an issue since and the kids access it on almost a daily basis.
