“which would you say are the better of the two the X90J compared to the v x 950H”

Based on reviews the 950H is better in most categories except for gaming. I went with the 950 H because I have no need to game on this TV.

X950H is a 2020 model that has the Picture Processor X1™ Ultimate while the 2021 model X90J has the Cognitive Processor XR picture processor. Both of them support eARC but the X90J supports more HDMI 2.1 features like 4K120, VRR (via future firmware update), and ALLM. With regard to the speaker type, they both have the Acoustic Multi-Audio; Sound Positioning Tweeter, and X-Balanced Speaker.
