Robert mine behaves the same way. We have tried everything & nothing seems to help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That certainly would be annoying. Just a few thoughts - could there be some interference with a signal coming from a neighbor’s house? Do you have a pet and if so could the remote be somewhere they could step on it inadvertently?

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Robert, Thank you for choosing Sony. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your XBR75X950H TV. We'd love to troubleshoot the issue and make this a better experience for you. In the meantime, please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Please check if the TV software is the latest version. v6.4960 You may check for the update on this link: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-xh95xx_x95xxh-series-55-65-75-/xbr-75x950h/downloads/00017078 2. Make sure the power cord is plugged in all the way on the power outlet. 3. Press the POWER button on the TV (not the button on the remote) to turn it on. If the TV turns on, the batteries in the remote may need to be replaced or there may be a problem with the remote control. 4. Replace the batteries in the remote control and check if the problem persists. This tests whether the remote is malfunctioning, rather than the TV. 5. Cover the remote sensor on the TV to check if the remote control is sending continuous commands to the TV. 6. Disconnect all external devices from the TV (USB, LAN connection, HDMI® connection, Antenna, etc.) except the power cord and turn off the TV. Reconnect the devices one at a time until you find the device that's causing the issue. 7. Reset the TV to the original factory settings.
