We just bought the Sony Bravia 85” TV. It measures approximately 42 3/4” high. You will need a minimum of 1 1/2” to 3” to lift the tv up & onto a wall mounted bracket. Once it is seated in the bracket, we have 1 1/2” above & below are TV in an enclosed wooden cabinet.

The biggest question is, do you have studs located within this area, where you can mount the wall mount to. This is a heavy tv and I would not recommend mounting it to the drywall! Hope this helps!
