QuestionWhat is the width of the stand on the 75" and 85" models of this telvision

- Answer My 85” is on a 60” console or chest with the TV legs inverted. The width of legs inverted is 48” I think they were 67” wide before being inverted.

- Answer We recently purchased the Sony XBR-85X900F. Before we acquired the TV, we researched available television stands that would accommodate the size of the TV. Given the dimensions of the TV with the stand (75 1/4” W x 46 3/8” H x 15 5/8” D), we decided on a TV Console with the following dimensions: 36” H x 84” W x 18” D. The stand width on the TV is 68 1/4” at its widest. Here is a photo of the TV on the console.

QuestionIf you had a choice of the XBR 85X900F or the XBR 65A8F which would you choose? I understand that the 65A8F has the better picture, the size of the 85X900F fits my space better, is the better picture quality worth the downsize?

- Answer I am coming from a Panasonic 65” plasma that I enjoyed for 8 years. If you haven’t had a 65” and size isn’t that important to you I would say get the A8F. But me personally I wanted a 20” upgrade to feel I got my money worth for an upgrade. After receiving this TV I am sure glad I choose the 85” over anything else. It truly feels 3D because of the size. Sports look incredible with 4K cable. Go big or go home!

QuestionRelating to the x900F - 85". Are the HULU and YouTube apps included with the set compatible with the live tv streaming subscriptions for the services (i.e., HULU Live TV and YouTube)?

- Answer Hulu TV doesn’t work with the Sony app interface. You will need to use Roku in order to be able to access Hulu TV.

- Answer Sports on it is great. No lag. Resolution is limited only by the incoming signal. A 4 k signal, when available is 4 times the resolution of 1080. The simple size of the picture is amazing.

QuestionIs the IR Blaster box built in to the Sony X900F 85 Inch Tv? Does it come as part of the inventory to be installed to the tv? I bought the Sony 85in X900 The instruction say to place the pods on the front of the tv. No Boxes??

- Answer Hello Boone, IR blaster is one of the supplied accessories that comes with the TV. It is not built in to the TV, you may need to place it in front of the TV and of the cable box for you to manage using one remote control to navigate to those devices. QuestionWith this 85 inch screen, how far should you be comfortable watching it from? What is recommended for viewing? Is it at least 6 feet distance or is closer okay too? My chaise is 3 ft away which is very close to tv. Thanks.

- Answer So much depends on the quality of the source. Candidly, 3 feet is probably too close, even with 4K rez and HD10 and all the video improvements. At 3 feet, you probably cannot easily see the entire screen from side to side, without moving your head. Think of it this way... just how close do you like to sit in the movie theater? Too close and it becomes a chore to see all the action. I'm a little under 6 feet away, and I enjoy it... a LOT!

- Answer It fits in front (assuming you install the feet outwards as instructed) and does not block the screen. The top of the sound bar meets just below the bottom of the screen. I have this same setup. Good luck!

- Answer I don't have a direct answer to your question but I have seen photos of the 900F showing the feet mounted so that they point outward (standard mounting from what I have seen) and also mounted so that the feet point inward towards each other.

QuestionDoes the app allow viewing of Amazon Prime movies?

- Answer Yes, I was prompted to sign into my Google account if I wanted my phone apps to copy to the TV. The app may have been there before I did this, but it was for sure there afterwards. Then just hit the app button on the remote, select Prime Video and you're good to go.
