While it can't match the black levels of an old, thanks to its master drive backlight unit, it is capable of producing 5x the brightness of an OLED. This is becoming very important with new dooby vision content which is mastered to 4000 nits. For perspective, an LG C9 oled can only output 750 nits, far lower then what the source material assumes.
