I use this TV in a bright room and it works very well. It is not one of the new anti-glare screens. But, it is about as close as you can get without having to pay for the anti-glare screen feature. I have a 10 foot floor to ceiling wall of glass facing southeast and two 4x6 windows just along both sides of my TV. I currently have the TV set to monitor ambient light conditions in the room and I am quite pleased with its performance. My previous TVs were all LG and one Samsung Q6. This one performs much better in the same situation as the previous TVs. I can say that I am finally happy with the light level of the TV in my living room during the day. I can now watch a "dark" horror movie or play any video game at any time of day.

You can sometimes find these types of answers from reviewers and forums. For best picture quality, do not expose the screen to direct illumination or sunlight and avoid installing the TV in a room with a reflective wall and floor materials. I hope this helps! Thanks! - Romeo
