• Absolutely, and I wouldn’t recommend taking Solar pictures unless you are adequately trained. I’m not even sure if the proper filter is available for this camera, please be careful!

• Hi andre, yes. We suggest using filters especially during a solar eclipse as pointing the camera directly to the phenomenon is detrimental to its internal components. However, Sony does not manufacture filters that are used for that type of photography. Regards, -Mark
