This camera is discontinued, but its still a great camera. Its very similar in photo quality to the Nex 5N that I have, with small differences such as ISO range, max shots per second, no touch screen, etc. But those differences won't matter much to an entry level photo enthusiast. The only really big flaw with this camera is that on auto mode, the camera will only go up to 1600 ISO, so you don't get to take advantage of this camera's amazing high ISO settings when you are indoors shooting on auto. Solution: learn to use program mode or one of the other advanced modes and set ISO to 3200 when shooting in poorly lit situations. Even 6400 ISO is pretty usable for small prints from this camera. If you like the pink color, this camera is an amazing deal. Sony will keep supporting the E-mount, so you could get this camera and buy new lenses, but honestly, the lens that comes with this camera is likely all you will need for the life of this camera. The only lens you might want to look into is a telephoto lens someday if you take alot of outdoor shots and want to zoom in on your subjects. Like taking a picture of a lion at a zoo exhibit.
