• Depends how old it is. You want to be able to plug in an HDMI. Anything older than 4 years may give you trouble.

• You shouldn't. As long as you connect the right cables to the DVD and TV you should be alright.

• The Sylvania TV will have to have an HDMI connection (or a receiver/head unit that will take the HDMI signal from the Blu-ray player and convert it to RCAs) in order to use this device as there are no RCA outs on the back of this unit.

• If the TV has an HDMI port, no problems at all! I hooked this up to a Vizio and it works just fine.
