• The dimensions are W / H / D: With stand 42 7/8 × 26 5/8 × 7 1/4 inches. Withou stand 42 7/8 × 25 1/2 × 3 5/8

• The 42 inch measurement is the left side to right side measurement of the actual screen, not including small sides of the TV frame. The Standard method of measuring TV screen size is to use the diagonal measurement, which for this SONY is 47 & 5/8 inches. For size classification purposes, SONY rounded up the 47 & 5/8 inches to 48 inches.

• Tv sizes are measured diagonally, not horizontally.
