First tv purchase in 5 years. Tend to hold on to one for a while as they are big purchases for me. Upgraded from a 43 inch samsung 720p screen. Didn't think the jump 5 inches and up to 1080p would make a big difference. Boy was I wrong. Beautiful picture, deep blacks, smart tv so it has apps, simple remote, easy set up. Good tv for gamers as well, I play my ps4 on this tv with no lag problems at all. The games is actually where I noticed the big upgrade on picture quality. Play a few games quite regularly. So booting up a game that I normally play for the first time on this tv, I noticed the detail jump right away. I can't comment on the sound quality as I have a surround sound set up. Definitely can't recommend this TV enough, especially at this price point.

Sony isn't what it use to be . But I'm gonna give them another try after my LG died right after the warranty . This Sony has a great picture. It's also a smart tv and I like it so far

This is a great hi tech tv with multiple apps. I own a Sony blue ray player and it displays all of the apps from the blue ray player also when the player is turned on. The streaming process is fast and easy. I have a Netflix subscription and I love the fact that Netflix is included on the remote control. The wifi process was really easy to set up. I love that the Sony Manuel is onscreen. The color resolution and clarity is clear and sharp . It make you feel like you are right in the middle of the action. I love my Sony Bravia. The volume was low at first and the Manuel gave me step by step instructions on how to adjust the volume to the room size. The instruction Manuel is very user friendly.

Great picture for the money. Used exclusively with a ps4. The sound isn't too bad, the simulated surround was a good try but you loose too much of the voice. The only Bad part is the "Smart" functionality. This TV runs Opera browser, it's not so good. I also have Bravia Android TV so I'm spoiled by that. It does have a long list of apps and capabilities but I found it to be slow and clunky. It's not a big deal being that the playstation is always on. For under $500 it's a great purchase. I am satisfied.

Only thing I would change is that you have to aim the remote directly at the bottom center and hold for a couple of seconds to turn off. Maybe it's because my sound bar is in front of it, otherwise, it's great!

I ABSOLUTELY L❤️V, L❤️V❣❣❣ My new Sony tv. I thought I would miss the rich color in my LG plasma but the clarity, brightness and rich color in this Sony Bravia is beautiful. The sleekness of the television along with the stand is also a GR8 look; you FOCUS MORE on the picture than all that clunky framing and stand. This was my 1st Sony television purchase in a very long time but I'm SOLD on SONY from now UNTIL!!

Why I bought this TV? 1. Great picture quality. 2. Great sound 3. Lightweight. Very light. 4. Energy saver. 5. Design. Slim. Color. Table stand. 6. Intuitive menu. Easy to setup. 7. Lot of features. Smart TV. 8. Sony brand (trusted). 9. Price not too high ($600 + warranty) 10. Perfect size for my room. Don't like: 1. No VGA input any more. Unable to connect my old laptop; 2. To use Skype need to buy Sony web camera (extra $82 on Amazon) 3. No Spotify app at all !!! Seriously? 4. A bit slow app's menu, but faster than Vizio. 5. Remote control is good but Volume buttom in wrong place. 6. A little expensive.

Hi, this SONY has a wonderful picture- I have zero complaints about that. Now Sony, if you read these, my complaint is that I use an antenna for Over The Air (free) TV, and the tuner is miserable compared to my 2008 Sony TV. The 2008 Sony receives 17 stations, my 2016 Sony TV received 3. I had to add an antenna amplifier to get the 17 stations back. So do I have a bad tuner, or are all your newer TV's produced with a less sensitive tuner? Again, didn't even have to adjust the picture, it is great. I like all the available connections - even has a headphone jack, which many TV sets do not have, but this does, so you can add a Bluetooth transmitter for late night or better listening. Audio, no matter how long I play with it, I could not get a good sound that produced voices clearly, so I had to add a sound bar with an optical cable, and that works pretty decent. Be warned, if you buy an Insignia sound bar, it is taller than the Sony TV stand, so it blocks the Sony remote sensor, so you need to jack-up the Sony TV higher so that the remote works. There is a slight lag from the time you push the buttons on the remote until the TV does its thing, and that never happened with the 2008 Sony, but you have to 'wait' for this one to catch-up. When you scan for channels, make sure you go to settings and select 'digital TV' first, or you will get nothing. The Smart TV is okay, it works, but you have to pay for about everything- didn't have any problems with the Smart TV part at all. If you have a Sony BluRay player, and you turn the Sony BluRay on, it automatically switches the TV input to the BluRay and back off again to TV automatically! Lots of HDMI inputs, a combination Composite / Component input, one USB port, one Digital Optical output for your soundbar or Home Theater Amp if you have one, plus the bonus headphone jack that you can set 3 different ways for its use. Build quality seems okay, so far so good after one month. I love the picture on this Sony compared to the picture on 4 other brands that I looked at. Great picture, just the few picky things I listed, but I would probably buy one again, especially if you can get it for under $400.

This TV is a great buy at its then sale price of $649-- big, great picture and sound, very thin, light, energy efficient. As soon as we got it home, it took only about 15 min to set it up in the included stand, install the included batteries in the remote, and then baptize the TV with an episode of Planet Earth. It was a great experience. The Smart TV features are wonderful, picture quality and sound are both very good. The TV is a bit brighter than my previous Samsung plasma. The refresh rate is 60 Hz, but with Sony's smoothing technology there is no motion blur. We liked the SmartTV set up. It's not as smooth as Roku's system but perfectly fine. For what it is, we love it. We're not fans of 3D TV so we didn't go for that. The ultra 4xHD TVs were nicer in comparison, but wayyy more expensive and we didn't think there was enough ultra HD content out there to merit its cost anyway. Lots of connectivity options. Wireless connection was painless to set up. I like that the remote control has a Netflix shortcut button. There are lots of settings you can play with to adjust the picture and sound to your preferences. Notes: The apps are solid, other than not having a Spotify app. We supplemented the apps with a Roku so I don't mind the lack of Spotify. The Amazon Prime video app didn't work for the first couple days but then it suddenly started working. With our purchase, Sony Entertainment included a few free movies of our choice to stream. The other things you might buy bundled at BestBuy (HDMI cable, wall mount, and insurance) are cheaper elsewhere. We bought the Best Buy insurance but then regretted the price (and couldn't figure out from the brochure what the actual coverage was) and ended up returning that and getting an online company's insurance for the TV instead, which gives you a prorated value for the TV as it ages. The Best Buy salesperson was great at telling us about the TV's features and the competing TVs without being pushy or going overboard with a hard sell.
