Q: QuestionHow do you adjust the treble?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi! Thank you for reaching out! We understand you're looking to adjust the treble on your HT-A9000. The HT-A9000 does not have a dedicated, user-adjustable treble control. The system is designed to automatically optimize the sound field based on its environment and the content being played. While there isn't a direct treble knob, you might find that exploring the different sound modes or optimizing the sound field through the "Sound Field Optimization" feature can help fine-tune the audio to your preference. Q: QuestionCan I mount the Bravia Theater Bar 8 to the bottom of my Sony Bravia XR-75X90CK. I understand I will need to purchase brackets separately.
Asked by SoundbartoTVmounting.
- A:Answer Hello SoundbartoTVmounting, thanks for your question! Yes, you should be able to mount the Sony Bravia Theater Bar 8 to the bottom of your Sony Bravia XR-75X90CK, and you are correct that you will need to purchase brackets separately. Sony offers a dedicated soundbar wall-mount bracket called the SU-WB1. This bracket is designed to work with the Bravia Theater Bar 8 (and Bar 9) and allows you to mount the soundbar directly to compatible Sony TV wall mounts (like the SU-WL905, which is sold separately). This system is designed to allow the TV and soundbar to swivel together, and helps keep cables neat. Thanks for your interest in our Sony products! Sincerely, Jenn.

Q: QuestionHow can I connect both the Bravia Theater Bar 8 and an eARC compatible Blue-ray player to my Sony K-65XR80 TV via HDMI eARC when the TV has only a single eARC/ARC HDMI socket?
Asked by Keanu.
- A:Answer Hi Keanu, thanks for your question! To connect both a Bravia Theater Bar 8 (soundbar) and an eARC-compatible Blu-ray player to a Sony K-65XR80 TV that only has a single HDMI eARC/ARC port, consider the following: The TV’s HDMI eARC/ARC port is designed primarily for connecting audio devices like soundbars or AV receivers, enabling both audio return from the TV and playback of high-quality audio from other connected HDMI sources. Unfortunately, you cannot connect both the soundbar and Blu-ray player directly to the TV's single eARC/ARC HDMI port simultaneously. Instead, consider using the following method: HDMI Audio Passthrough (Recommended) Connect the Bravia Theater Bar 8’s HDMI OUT (eARC/ARC) port to the TV’s HDMI input labeled eARC/ARC. Connect the Blu-ray player to the HDMI IN port on the soundbar. How it works: The Blu-ray player sends both audio and video to the soundbar; the soundbar outputs video to the TV (via eARC/ARC port). This setup passes high-quality audio (up to Dolby Atmos) to the soundbar and video to the TV. Limitations: All devices in the chain must support appropriate HDMI standards (e.g., HDCP, high bandwidth for 4K/HDR), and some advanced video features (like 4K/120Hz gaming) may be affected depending on the HDMI passthrough capabilities of the soundbar. Thanks for considering Sony products! Best regards, Gus Sony Social Media Team

Q: QuestionDoes the Bravia theater soundbar 9 have the ability to connect my svs sb-3000 sub to it? does it have a wired sub out connection?
Asked by kmp0506.
- A:Answer Hi kmp0506, We appreciate your inquiry about the compatibility of the soundbar with your SVS SB-3000. Unfortunately, the BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 does not feature a subwoofer output port for either passive or active wired subwoofers. The BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 is only compatible with the following wireless subwoofers: • SASW3 - 200 W of sound from a compact bass reflex subwoofer with a 160 mm driver. • SASW5 - 300 W of deep, rich bass from a 180 mm driver with a passive radiator. Having two types of subwoofer allows the built-in subwoofer in the BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 to handle bass and vocals with the optional wireless subwoofer focusing on low-range sound. I hope this helps. Q: QuestionHow can I pair this with my new Sony Bravia XR A95L OLED? Let me know if this is correct - I would connect my XR A95L TV to the setup box via HDMI and Then from the TV eARC in to the Soundbar eARC out ?
Asked by Deep.
- A:Answer Hi Deep, Thank you for reaching us with your concern. Yes, your understanding is mostly correct, but let me clarify the steps for connecting your Sony BRAVIA XR A95L TV to the Sony BRAVIA Theater Bar 8 for optimal audio performance: 1. Connect an HDMI IN jack compatible with eARC/ARC on the TV and the HDMI OUT (TV (eARC/ARC)) jack on the speaker system using the HDMI cable (supplied). If you are facing the back of the bar speaker, the HDMI OUT jack is located inside the right indented area. It is on the side wall of the indented area and marked with three tactile dots. 2. Change the TV settings so that TV sound can be output from the speaker system. Depending on your TV, this may be set automatically when the speaker system is connected. For details, refer to the operating instructions of your TV. 3. Enable eARC on both the speaker system and the TV. If the TV that is connected to the speaker system is compatible with eARC/ARC, the eARC function is available. To enjoy higher quality audio formats such as Dolby Atmos played on an external device connected to the TV, check that the eARC setting is enabled on the speaker system and TV. eARC setting for the TV: Refer to the operating instructions of your TV. eARC setting for the speaker system: The setting is enabled by default. Note: Check that the connectors are firmly inserted. If the speaker system is not connected to the eARC/ARC-compatible HDMI input of the TV, the TV sound cannot be output from the speaker system. Enable the Control for HDMI function on the TV. If the Control for HDMI function on the TV is not enabled, the speaker system does not output TV sound. By enabling the eARC function on the TV, some features on the TV may become limited. For instance, system sounds and voice response may not be output. For details, refer to the operating instructions of your TV. Hope this information helps! If you need further assistance or have additional concerns, may we contact you directly? Q: QuestionI bought the Bravia 8 Soundbar and subwoofer. The sound is nothing like what it was in the store. Could it be because I have an older Samsung TV or that I have cathedral ceilings?
Asked by sandiphi.
- A:Answer Hi sandiphi, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the Sony BRAVIA Theater Bar 8! The sound quality you’re experiencing could be influenced by a few factors. To optimize your audio performance, we recommend adjusting the sound settings on your soundbar: Go to Sound settings > Auto DRC > Off. The Auto DRC (Dynamic Range Compression) compresses the dynamic range (range between the loudest and quietest parts) of the audio signal to make it easier to hear softer sounds.
