Given the setup in your family room (16' tall, 20' long and wide), it is important to consider these things to get the best listening experience: • For the best movie experience, you can enable the Sound Field settings. On the remote control, press the SOUND FIELD button and select Sound Field: Effect On.   • QuestionMy new Sony Bravia TV has not worked with any soundbars I have tried - -with frequent audio cut outs no mater what I try. It seems the Sony TV has a defective eARC output. Sony said I should try Sony brand. Will this soundbar work?

    • Answer If audio works, produces sound (then constant interference) ***get a NEW HDMI*** (old HDMI = cable "connection plugs" are damaged = cable could be damaged due to twisting/movement but unlikely) HDMI should be set and forget (not constantly touched/removed) ____ ***connect via BLUETOOTH*** (sound sync issues = voices not matching lips = correctable) -OR- Buy atleast a HDMI 2.1 with shielding @ 3-5 ft (Shielding just makes sound slightly better = lesser static noise = today mostly irrelevant)

  • QuestionI was considering "upgrading" from the ht-a7000 but this bar seem very limited in comparison when you decided to limit it to one hdmi input and requiring wifi connectivity and an account to use what you pay $1400 for. Please bring back flexibility.

In order for TV and soundbar to work correctly on wall, you will need the following TV mount and soundbar mount. TV mount: SU-WL905 Soundbar model: SU-WB1 Most of the cable company remotes don’t control audio products only TV. You can use Sony remote to control cable box and long as soundbar is connected through HDMI eARC, TV will control audio output on soundbar. To use the speaker system, connect the smartphone on which the app is installed to the same network as the speaker system. Use a smartphone with the “Sony | BRAVIA Connect” app installed to perform initial setup and operations as well as configure the settings on the speaker system. The app allows you to perform the following operations and setup. • Initial setup of the speaker system, including network connection, surround sound optimization, etc. • Operations such as volume adjustment, input selection, etc. • Change the settings of the speaker system to the desired settings • Connect the optional rear speakers and/or subwoofer, and perform initial setup • Check the remaining capacity of the built-in rechargeable battery for the optional rear speakers • Update the software of the speaker system to the latest version • Check the support information and latest update information • The supplied remote control can only be used to perform operations and change settings that are frequently used when you view content.
