“Can this cd player play M4a cds. I have converted my mp3 music that I bought from Itunes to M4A. I was reading that this player does play mp3 cds. I have an older cd/radio which plays M4a cds that I burn, until recently.”

Not sure about the CD's, but it DID play my M4a tracks from my flash drive pretty easily. You could always move them from CD to flash drive and/or convert tracks to a simpler mp3 format if you are concerned.
