“is display always dark even in daylight? ok, I hear there is not a light button for the display, but it is always, totally dark, have to squint to read it during the daylight????? Very annoying. Might have to return an otherwise good machine just for this.”

• I never paid attention to it. i leave my radio at work and with the lightning there it does not bother me. I believe the display states "STANDBY" as long as it is plugged in.

• Sorta. During the day or with the room light on at night it can be read (i hve mine at eye level on top of a bookshelf, not low). That is my biggest complaint. At night it is impossible to read without turning the room lights on or using my small flashlight.

• The system does very well what it is designed to do. It was not designed to display light buttons. The addition of these would make it great.
