• Hi, jnvert619! Yes. This boombox can be plugged into a wall outlet. To use with batteries, you will need six R14 (size C) batteries (not supplied). -Vincent

• It uses 6 C batteries. It can be plugged into a wall outlet and does not require the batteries to be installed when plugged into the wall. To operate on battery power, unplug it from the wall.
