• Yes, that is one of the main features of this unit. I think that it mainly plays MP3 files, but it may work with other file types also.....check the Sony website for more info.

• Hi dlk, Yes. You can listen to audio files stored on a USB device (a digital music player or USB storage media). Audio files in MP3, WMA and AAC formats can be played on this unit. -Anthony

• CONFIRMED - will play .m4a files if one copies the music file folders to a USB drive from iTunes folder. It will also show the album information on the display.
