I bought a new Sony surround receiver to use with my old Sony surround speakers. It is a STR-DH550. When I put my old subwoofer, with one input cable, into the new receiver with two subwoofer cable inputs, it does not work. How do I fix this issue? null

Take a red and white audio wire your basic rca cables and strip the wires back, you'll find two cables in both of these wires a ground copper and a red in the red cable and white in the other.

Double up the copper grounds and double up the red and white together keeping them separate from the copper ground..
