“Will this subwoofer work with the Sony STR-DH190 stereo receiver? I was thinking since it has speaker inputs and outputs that I would run the speaker connects through the woofer and it would do the crossover and send higher freq. signal onto L/R speakers”

Yes, this will work with the STR-DH190 receiver.
