This unit supports Line In (Left & Right Channels) from Source, then Line Out (Left & Right Channels) to Speakers. It ,also, supports LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) Coaxial Connection Input, which is what I am using from my Surround System. There is NO Fiber Optic connection. So, if your Source can connect either of the ways above, then you should be fine. For the price, it is a very capable Sub-Woofer. I purchased mine to replace my JBL Sub, which is connected to my Sony Surround System and the wife and I are quite happy with it's performance!
