Hello Tdog85! Based on the specifications of the unit HTCT80 Sound bar it is required to connect only the Subwoofer model SSWCT80 to avoid any harm to the Soundbar. For more information, please check page number 8 of the instructions manual of the Soundbar using the link below. According to the Subwoofer SA-CS9 specifications, it can be connected directly to a receiver that provides one of the following ports: MONO OUT jack, MIX OUT jack, SUBWOOFER output jack, SUPER WOOFER output jack or you can connect the speaker terminals of the amplifier to the SPEAKER IN terminals instead: https://docs.sony.com/release//HTCT80_EN_ES_FR.pdf ~Jeannette
